Hello! We are Janna Rogers and Patrick MacLeay.

We care, a lot, and we believe that that simple fact makes us stand out from the majority of our competitors.

Planet gold is a small, independent, artistic partnership, comprised of a hard-working couple, some lovely freelance friends, a huge networks of events industry contacts, a messy office, an overstuffed warehouse, a lot of creative ideas and some happy rescue cats.

Creating installations, transforming venues, and helping people to realise imaginative, and memorable spaces and events is our lifeblood.

Although we love to work in beautiful places, one of our specialities is making ugly spaces come alive. Don’t be afraid to book a “blank canvas” venue. Planet gold have turned an aircraft hangar into an ice palace and an office into a forest.

If you are looking for the cheapest option then look elsewhere, if you are looking for the best option, then please get in touch. We do not hire low paid staff to install “off the shelf” decor, we approach every aspect of every job with a personal, passionate attention to detail, both artistic and technical.  

We work with you every step of the way to make your dreams, our reality. We will be working with and for you at every stage from the concepting, to design, build, rigging and removal.

We are experienced and have worked with many high profile clients, and are familiar with tight budgets, tight timelines, and the need for discretion and privacy. Many of our jobs require signing NDAs.

Designing? We will work with you and take as much or as little creative lead as you like, to help you to make your wildest party dreams come true.

Making? Need a set of flying pigs in your colour scheme? Want a huge foliage hanging centrepiece? Need an infinity booth to fit in a specific corner of your hotel? How about a maximalist entrance arch? Or a stage set that looks like a factory. We can make anything you need!

Rigging? Do you need help working safely at height, installing the things you have sourced from elsewhere? Do you understand loading calculations and safe hanging points? We can use ladders, scissor lifts and cherry pickers to get anything hung up safely for you. we are also very proficient at setting things up at ground level too!

Event logistics? Need a generator? Soundsystem? Exterior lighting? A projection screen? A fire pit? A heater? A cooler? If we don’t have it in our vast stock of items, we’ll know where to get it for you!

Our vast network? After many years in the events, festivals and entertainment industries, we have met a lot of people! We pride ourselves on our extensive entertainment industry contacts and are able to provide tried and tested performers, activities and living décor. Anything from a wedding band, to a one man band, an ethereal trapeze act or a medieval bard, a character compere, a look alike, a comedy sports day, a photo booth, a simulator or a contortionist, we will find you the perfect embellishments, to complete your perfect event.
