The Enchanted Forest
Paintworks, Bristol (Dec 2011)

This regeneration project on 12 acres of industrial buildings in Bristol has left Paintworks with a very interesting and unusual event space in the heart of an impressive sustainable development. Our recent challenge was to install our Enchanted Forest decor into this event space for a month long run of Christmas party nights.

This old factory building had some interesting features that we wanted to keep and some industrial features which we needed to cover to allow guests to feel comfortable in a warm and enchanted environment.

We turned the steel girders into tree trunks, turned an old chimney stack into a cave for karaoke and covered the conduit filled ceiling with tree canopies, branches, foliage and lanterns. Red brick walls were left exposed and other walls were covered with our wild wood backdrops.

Once the team from Bubble had finished adding the table decorations, bar and furniture to the room the overall effect was stunning and certainly unique.
